Stina Hansson, Professor emerita, Comparative literature

I have recently completed a book on the poetry of marriage in the 17th and 18th centuries: here the Swedish epithalamia are invented and analysed, especially with respect to the use of the marriage poetry repertoires inherited from Latin Renaissance literature.

I am currently working on articles related to this recently published book.

My main areas of research have been 17th and 18th century Swedish literature from a rhetorical point of view, but also letter writing, devotional literature and, more recently, the repertoires the young people of the 17th century incorporated during their studies, as well as the cultural and literary repertoires used in literature from that century onwards.
