Updated rules for written examination - this is what you need to know

News: Jan 14, 2019

As of the spring term, new rules and regulations for examinations start to apply. Among other things, as a student you now have to be at the examination hall 15 minutes prior to the stipulated start time.

On January 10, the Vice-Chancellor made a decision to update and revise Rules and Regulations for first- and second-cycle examinations at the university of Gothenburg. Two important updates in the revised rules are:

  • You must be in the examination hall 15 minutes prior to the stipulated start time.
  • Nuts are prohibited in the examination hall as it can cause serious allergic reactions.

Rules and regulations for examinations apply for the entire University. This means that they apply for written sit-down examinations at departments and in common examination halls which are located at Viktoriagatan 30 and at Folkets Hus. The rules also apply when the department coordinating the course at the University of Gothenburg holds a sit-down examination at another higher education institution, such as Chalmers.

As a student, you are responsible for knowing the rules that apply to your education. You can read the full set of new rules and regulations in the link below.
